Until I stepped out of my comfort zone and started working with Ron, I never thought a story like this would be possible for me.
My two girls sat at the kitchen table with my wife, Jamie, they were going through the usual Wednesday morning breakfast routine. The night before had been a later than usual indoor soccer game for my 14-year-old daughter Kate, and her 10-year-old sister Kennedy was still visibly tired from the late bedtime.

I take a video of my family at the oddest times so it didn’t seem strange to them that I was once again recording them on my phone. Jamie said, “You know, it was a late-night and Kennedy’s pretty tired. In fact, we’re all pretty tired.” She sighed, “I don’t feel like going to work today.”

Kate glanced up from her plate to look quizzically at her mom. This was odd.

“What do you guys think about just packing up and going to DisneyWorld today?”

Kate’s eyes locked on Jamie’s. This was something the kids had talked about for years, but we had been very clear that the money just wasn’t there and likely never would be. Was Mom kidding?

Kennedy disbelievingly said, “How about not today?” She had a project she was working on at school.

Jamie dropped her poker face and the weight of a long held secret turned into a grin that spread from ear to ear as she slowly said, “We’re going to DisneyWorld today. The plane leaves at 1 pm this afternoon!”

The house erupted in gasps, tears and hugs. Followed by a packing frenzy the likes of which I’ve never seen before. It turned out to be the best vacation our family has ever taken together.

Now if you would have told me a year ago that this scene would have unfolded at my house. I would have thought you crazy.
Ron at Ron Waterfield Executive Coaching told me at the beginning when we started working together, “Three months from now you will be looking back at who you were and you won’t even recognize yourself. It will be like looking back at your life through a telescope.” He was right.

Since making the decision to work with Ron and Ron Waterfield Executive Coaching I’ve seen a lot of changes. I’m enjoying my sales job more and seeing improved results. I’m accomplishing more of the things that have been on my to-do lists, like taking the family to Disneyworld. Overall, I’m more appreciative, at peace, and happy with every day.

Life has a way of sending you the teacher when you’re ready to learn. I’m glad that Ron came into my life when he did and I look forward to continuing to work together.
